The research activities have the
following objectives:
- Enhance dialogue between the
extension staff, policy makers and rural farmers in areas such as
environmental management and agricultural problems.
- Promote respect for rural
knowledge such that it becomes central to environmental management
projects and practises.
- Create awareness and
understanding on the diversity of environmental and soil conservation
problems at the national level amongst policy makers.
- Initiate discussion on
addressing imbalances in participation of women in environmental
messages activities through gender sensitisation and development of
gender sensitive technologies and extension messages.
